Our teams are structured by grade and elementary school affiliation.  We are pleased to have great participation for this program, but with some team rosters at their maximum it may require us to split school groups on different teams.  Also, with summer attendance often inconsistent, we often ask players to help balance rosters for a night, but we never require them to.

WYBS is fortunate to have our program coached by the Terriers Sports staff, under the direction of Joe Roberts, a WYBS alum, former Boston University baseball captain & Greater Boston League All Star whose Terriers Sports programs are celebrating their 31st anniversary this summer providing enjoyable, inclusive experiences. Terriers’ Student Coaching programs empower students to coach and mentor, with middle school coaches in training, high school coaches & college/adult supervisors.  

Each session will provide instruction and skill development to learn and practice the proper baseball fundamentals.  Games will start around 6pm and finish at 7:30pm. Games are managed to maximize activity, and enjoyment for all.  Student coaches pitch and catch to help batters to have success and getting the ball in play.  The game of baseball is challenging for many kids, and our staff will strive to help everyone enjoy having fun playing baseball.     

WYBS will be providing t-shirts and a hat. Please have your child bring his/her glove, helmet and water bottle. If your child has their own bat, please bring it along, but we will have bats for those who don't. Most children will wear baseball pants, but they are not necessary.
